The Challenge

Launching a wine festival Adelaide had never seen before.

Paul Bradavic came to Fuel My Social with the idea: a wine festival inside the Adelaide Central Market on a Sunday evening when the market was normally closed to the public. Over 50 South Australian wineries pouring side by side, a couple of distilleries, a brewery, plus the existing market food vendors opening their doors for the night. Adelaide had never seen anything like it, in a venue Adelaide had never experienced that way. The brief wasn’t a content engagement — it was end to end. Paul had the vision. We were brought in to turn it into a brand, build the website, run the ticketing, sell out the room, capture the night, and come back the following year and do it again, bigger.

Brand, Web & Print

We built the Adelaide Wine Festival brand from scratch — logo, identity, type system, poster artwork, ticket design and every piece of print collateral that lived in the venue. We designed and built the festival website end to end and integrated the ticketing platform that handled every sale, giving the campaign one central destination to point at.

Marketing & Pre-Event Content

Pre-event content across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok — winemaker features, wine tasting teasers, line-up reveals, behind-the-scenes build content — paired with paid social campaigns running directly into ticket sales. Media partner collaborations with Glam Adelaide and Triple M extended the reach into Adelaide’s broader entertainment audience.

Live Production & Event Management

On-the-ground content production across the weekend — photographers and videographers capturing the wineries, the food, the crowd and every key moment for live social, post-event recap and the next edition’s marketing. Real-time community management during the event, plus on-the-day event support alongside the AWF team.

The Story

How it came together.

The brief

Paul Bradavic, the founder of the Adelaide Wine Festival, came to Fuel My Social with the idea. A wine festival in the heart of the Adelaide Central Market, held on a Sunday evening when the market was normally closed to the public. Over 50 South Australian wineries pouring side by side. A couple of distilleries. A brewery. Plus the existing market food vendors opening their doors for the night, alongside the wineries, in a building Adelaide had never used that way. The brief wasn’t a content engagement and it wasn’t a marketing brief in the traditional sense. It was end to end. Paul had the vision. He needed a partner that could turn that idea into a brand, build the website, run the ticketing platform, sell out the room, capture the night, and then come back the following year and do it again, bigger. From a founder’s idea to a fully launched festival, with one team handling every stage. That’s what Fuel My Social signed on to do.

The strategy and execution

The launch was a full multi-disciplinary engagement. We started with the brand work — logo, identity, type system, poster artwork, ticket design and the print collateral that would live in the venue on the night. The Adelaide Wine Festival had to feel premium enough to sit alongside South Australia’s best wineries, but accessible enough to fill the Adelaide Central Market on a Sunday evening. We designed and built the festival website end to end and integrated the ticketing platform that handled every sale, giving the entire campaign one destination to point at. Paid social campaigns ran into the ticket page from day one, supported by an always-on pre-event content cadence across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok — winemaker features, wine tasting teasers, line-up reveals and build-day content. Media partner collaborations with Glam Adelaide and Triple M extended the reach beyond our owned channels and into Adelaide’s broader entertainment audience. On the night itself, Fuel My Social ran a full live production. Multiple photographers and videographers across the venue capturing the wineries, the food, the crowd, the music and the moments that would feed the next campaign. Real-time community management while the audience was in the room. And on-the-day event support alongside Paul and the AWF team, making sure the night actually ran the way it was supposed to.

The Results

Launched, sold out, and growing every edition.

The first Adelaide Wine Festival sold out the Adelaide Central Market with around 1,000 attendees, and every edition since has grown. The festival now runs two shows a year — a winter event at the Adelaide Central Market and a summer event most recently held at Morphettville Racecourse — and Fuel My Social is preparing the brand and content engine for its fifth edition in 2026.

Beyond the launch numbers, the engagement has delivered a significant return on investment for the founder who pitched the idea, and the Adelaide Wine Festival is now recognised as one of South Australia’s most loved wine events. Every shoot we run becomes a long-tail asset that powers the next edition’s marketing, partner decks and year-round storytelling — turning a single Sunday in a market into an entire content ecosystem.
